World Trade Center Savannah (WTCSav) will host its annual Prosperity Through Trade Luncheon Wednesday, Oct. 20, 11:30 a.m. at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa, 1 Resort Dr. Financial journalist and bestselling author Ron Insana will be the keynote speaker.
Insana has covered some of the most important economic stories over his nearly four decades on television. Currently a senior analyst and commentator with CNBC, Insana hosts The Market Score Board Report, a thrice-daily nationally syndicated radio program. As a financial journalist, Insana is unique as someone who ran his own hedge fund. He has also written for Money magazine, USA Today and authored four bestselling books on investing and reading the financial markets.
“World Trade Center Savannah was granted its license in October of 2011, and here we are 10 years later celebrating a milestone for the organization with our second annual Prosperity Through Trade Luncheon,” said Georgia Ports Authority Director of Business Development and International Marketing and World Trade Center Savannah Board of Directors Chairman John Petrino. “We’re thrilled to have Ron Insana speak at our event this year and know his presentation will be meaningful for our attendees.”
World Trade Center Savannah will also present the World Trade Center Savannah International Business of the Year Award, sponsored by Georgia Southern University, to a regional company demonstrating excellence in international trade. This award is presented to encourage and recognize exemplary corporate leadership for international business or trade that advances relations between the U.S. and other nations as well as creates quality jobs in the region. The nomination is open to companies of all sizes located in Southeast Georgia engaging in international trade. Nominations should be submitted here by September 10.
