The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s (GDEcD) international trade representatives will be in Savannah, Thursday, March 28, noon-4 p.m., to meet one-on-one with regional businesses interested in international trade. The meetings will take place at World Trade Center Savannah, 131 Hutchinson Island Road. The Georgia Department of Economic Development is Georgia’s sales and marketing arm for attracting new business investment and encouraging the expansion of existing industry and small businesses.

Representatives from Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Israel, Korea, Mexico, Peru and the United Kingdom/Ireland will be on hand to meet one-on-one with regional businesses interested in international trade and to provide customized export assistance.

The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s s international representatives assist Georgia companies with creating market assessments and entry strategies, locating and pre-qualifying appropriate partners and customers, market insight and guidance on local business practices and arranging in-country business appointments. They also assist foreign companies looking to establish business or manufacturing operations in Georgia and inspire citizens around the world to visit Georgia.

Interested companies must apply at Georgia.org/RepsVisit. The application form is required for companies to be considered for appointment(s). Submission of the application form does not guarantee appointment(s). Applicants will be contacted regarding availability of requested markets. The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s international trade representatives will also be meeting with businesses in Atlanta on Tuesday, March 26.
